If the anticipation wasn’t already sky-excessive for Marvel’s “Black Panther”, this new trailer will repair that.
Whereas “Black Panther” showed up in “Captain America: Civil War,” the solo picture seems to be as self-contained as “Guardians of the Galaxy” is, with director Ryan Coogler doing his own factor. Not due to open until early next year, we still have a bit ways to go earlier than the premiere, but Coogler has shown himself to be a formidable director, particularly while fitting in to pre-established mythology (2015’s “Creed”) so it’ll be interesting to see how he takes on “Black Panther” (and how his regular collaborator Michael B. Jordan matches into the narrative). Here’s the official synopsis:

“Black Panther” is directed by Ryan Coogler and co-written by Coogler and Joe Robert Cole (who was a writer on “American Crime Story: The Folks vs. O.J. Simpson”). In addition to Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan, the movie co-stars Martin Freeman, Lupita Nyong’o, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, and Andy Serkis.
